Sea of Blades

Now here is something I worked on in my spare time that was not a requirement for a class. This image first came around when I came across a blade image that I manipulated and it looked like a sea. From that point, I derived the rest of this image.

The name comes from the way it looks, but also the meaning I put into it. The sea is where we as human beings are. We suffer in anguish and hurt ourselves. We reach for the sky, desperately trying to grasp something to save us, not caring what it is that will save us from this pain. As long as it's out of the blades, it's worth the risk of reaching into the unknown.
